If you’re looking to set up NZBGet with your preferred Usenet provider, follow these simple steps:
- Go to Settings > News-Servers:
- Click "Add another news-server" to create a new entry for your Usenet provider.
- Enter Your Usenet Provider’s Server Information:
- Name: Give the server a recognizable name (e.g., the name of your provider).
- Host:news.astraweb.comus.astraweb.comeu.astraweb.com
- Username: Enter the username from your Usenet provider account.
- Password: Enter the password associated with your Usenet account.
- Configure Connection Details:
- Connections: Your Usenet provider will specify the maximum number of connections you can use. It’s usually best to start with 10-20 connections.
- SSL: If your provider supports SSL, set this option to "Yes" to encrypt your connection.
- Save and Test:
- Click "Save All Changes".
- Use the "Test Connection" button to check if NZBGet can connect to your Usenet server. If successful, you’ll see a confirmation message.If your provider supports SSL, set this option to "Yes" to encrypt your connection.
After completing these steps, you’re ready to use your Usenet provider with NZBGet. Simply add NZB files or URLs to start downloading!
